Difference between Lend and Borrow

Difference between lend and borrow “ Lend” means to give something   to somebody   to use for a period of time. To " borrow " means to take someone else's property for a period of time, use it, and then return it. The person who lends something  is the one who  owns it and allows others to use it. The person who  borrows the  item does not own it and must return   it after use.   Here are examples of how each word is used in context.  Sentences with Borrow Can I borrow  your telephone ?
